The Do's and Don'ts about trainers and trainees
Trainers:
often times you may be set up with a trainer whom you do not feel comfortable with. When this does happen you need to get with your recruiter and explain the difficulties you may be experiencing. Do ask for a different trainer. You will be glad you did.
Also if a trainer shows unprofessional acts you should report this also to your recruiter. Your life may depend on it.
Sometimes there are trainers who have not yet been realized of their bad behaviors and this needs some serious attention when it comes to the safety of you and others. Report it Trainees: Learn, Look, Listen to all that is being offered for your training experience. Take what you learn and use what you feel is needed to insure your safety and the safety of all concerned. Be courtious to your trainer. We all have bad days. Do not allow anyone to make you feel that you will not suceed if trained properly.

Always remember truck drivers are a special class of people and not everyone can handle the stress and complications of being away from home and family for extended periods of time.
What not to Do :
what ever you decide,if this is the career you have chosen and you wanted to be a professional truck driver... do the job with class. Take all of the loads you recieve, and be a professional. You will be a winner and people will look up to you with respect if you just do your job and do it as safetly as you can.

To many people look down at the profession because there are so many drivers that shouldn't be driving. These are the ones the industry can do without.

Show the country there are still good professional drivers working hard to deliver the products that all us of need. You get it there on time and you get it there safetly.
You get the job done and feel proud that there are truck drivers out there who care as much as you do.
We need more professionals out on the road.

Also one more important note:

It isn't an easy job, but it has it's benefits and rewards. You become your own boss and have no one but yourself and the company you work for telling you what to do next.. If you do your job you will find it rewarding in that you get to meet new people and see the country like never before, and get paid for it at the same time.
The MONEY:
When you finish your training and have been driving for a year you can almost make as much money as you want. With a good background and history you will be offered what you want because you are the professional and they want YOU.

I make right now $37,000.00 a year and I can make more if I want. Because I am a true professional truck driver and I am proud to serve the industry. I am always on time and I get the job done safetly.
You can Too....
