Truck Drivers Information Page |
Welcome to a new and rewarding career opportunity |
Here you will find the companies that are willing to train those
who are interested in changing careers. Being a truck driver requires
skill and professionalism. After you finish your training these
companies will then put you with a trainer when you are ready to go out
on the road. Your trainer should be friendly and very attentive to your
needs as a trainee. He or she will show you the dangers and the great things
about the truck driving industries. They will show you the paperwork that
is involved. They will instruct you in a way where you will be more confident
in driving a tractor trailer when it comes time for you to go out on your own.

The Do's and Don'ts about trainers and trainees |
Trainers: often times you may be set up with a trainer whom you do not feel comfortable with. When this does happen you need to get with your recruiter and explain the difficulties you may be experiencing. Do ask for a different trainer. You will be glad you did. Also if a trainer shows unprofessional acts you should report this also to your recruiter. Your life may depend on it. Sometimes there are trainers who have not yet been realized of their bad behaviors and this needs some serious attention when it comes to the safety of you and others. Report it Trainees: Learn, Look, Listen to all that is being offered for your training experience. Take what you learn and use what you feel is needed to insure your safety and the safety of all concerned. Be courtious to your trainer. We all have bad days. Do not allow anyone to make you feel that you will not suceed if trained properly. Always remember truck drivers are a special class of people and not everyone can handle the stress and complications of being away from home and family for extended periods of time. |
